Energy Performance Certificates

Maximise the value of your buildings.

In this increasingly competitive environment, ensuring your real estate has a good energy rating is critical. It can significantly affect the rental and saleable value of your buildings and it also provides an opportunity to reduce tenants’ risk and exposure to rising energy costs.

Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) indicate the intrinsic energy performance potential of a building using a rating system from A-G; where A is very efficient and G is the least efficient.

If you need an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) we can help certify your real estate quickly and efficiently, with a follow-on consultation on how to improve your property’s energy performance.

We offer a range of energy management services to streamline your compliance, procurement and energy consumption as quickly and cost-efficiently as possible; aligned strategically to reduce your carbon footprint and accelerate your journey to net zero.

  • An Energy Performance Certificate is required by law on construction, let, or sale of a commercial building over 50m².

  • Fines of up to £5,000 can be levied for non-compliance.

  • Every EPC should be lodged on the Government Central Register, which can be found here: gov.uk/find-energy-certificate.

  • Our comprehensive service covers all your EPC needs, ensuring you remain compliant.

Types of Energy Performance Certificates

Our Compliance EPC is designed for building owners and letting agents who require a fast, reliable and cost-effective service to ensure their buildings comply fully with current legislation.

A site survey will be undertaken to assess the building and establish energy performance issues, and we will compile the required information to ensure the EPC is in place as quickly as possible.

Our Optimisation EPC is designed for developers, building owners, landlords and managing agents who wish to maximise the value of their building assets through the identification and implementation of cost-effective energy saving measures.

The service includes virtual EPC modelling to identify the most cost-effective energy-saving measures that will deliver a significant improvement in the EPC Asset Rating. Studies have shown that this can increase the building value by up to 15%.

Our New Build EPC offers a fast and low-cost solution for new developments, allowing EPCs to be produced from architectural and building services plans, and associated information, thus avoiding the need for a site survey.

The assessment may be supported by a telephone or electronic survey to obtain ancillary information for the EPC calculations and for producing the mandatory Recommendation Report.
