Housing group, Connexus, was spending increasing time and money managing issues at its Rocks Green energy-efficient development powered by a woodchip biomass district heating system. Issues impacting the efficiency of the system included boiler failures, billing issues, and faults with the control systems and heat exchanges. It meant that residents were experiencing high heating bills, with heat being used even when their heating was switched, causing financial concerns.
Zenergi’s technical division, Briar, was engaged to carry out an in-depth investigation to initially evaluate improvements to the efficiency of the system and then further project managed the repairs. Because of Briar’s work, the satisfaction of the residents has significantly improved, while Connexus has more time to focus on its core activities.
