If you employ more than 250 employees, have you adhered to your ESOS compliance obligation?
Zenergi previously published advice on the topic with What is the latest Government scheme, ESOS, all about? And What is ESOS Phase 2
With the deadline of 5th December for phase 2, this mandatory government scheme is something we wanted to bring to your attention.
ESOS, also known as Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme, is for all organisations that employ more than 250 employees either part or full time and must comply with reporting to the environment agency on total kWh and carbon footprint from energy and transport usage. Along with this, the measures implemented for energy saving. This is routinely completed with an energy audit and something we are experienced in producing.
It’s worth noting that failure to comply could result in a fine of up to £50,000 and the risk of bad publicity from the Environment Agency as they intend to publish listings of organisations that have not completed the reporting.

Zenergi has already supported hundreds of organisations that qualify for ESOS to ensure that they are compliant but also to significantly reduce their energy consumption, typically by up to 20%.
We can manage energy efficiency projects that will be recommended as part of the audit and can help with applications for funding of energy-saving projects such as solar panels, wind turbines and insulation to name a few.
If you have any questions regarding ESOS Phase 2, please feel free to get in touch via our contact page. We’ll be happy to offer positive guidance.
