Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund

£50 million funding programme for retrofitting Local Authority housing with energy efficient technology set to continue

The government’s £50 million programme to enable social housing landlords to improve energy efficiency, while lowering energy bills and carbon emissions looks set to continue.

The Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) is designed to tackle the 19% of properties in social housing that are below the Fuel Poverty Energy Efficiency Rating (FPEER), by enabling landlords to retrofit their housing stock with energy-efficient technology and renewables that will create warmer homes.

Zenergi’s deliver division, can assist local authorities (LAs) and LA-led consortia to bid for funding under this scheme. We can identify suitable projects that would be covered by the funding, such as upgrades in insulation, ventilation, efficient heating, and renewables. We can contribute to submitting the funding bid and assist the delivery consortium with project management, reporting and pre/post energy monitoring to demonstrate performance and assess any performance gap.

The window for accessing the funding is due to open in Autumn 2023. We have extensive experience in supporting organisations to successfully apply for funding and implement the associated projects.

Contact us if you would like to understand more about how we can help you take advantage of the scheme.
