Two of the Zenergi team spent a morning with the Partnerships team at fuel poverty charity National Energy Action’s (NEA) headquarters in Newcastle. They helped put together Winter Warmth Support Packs. Each one contains essential items to help the recipients stay warm, including hoodies and thermos flasks. The packs will be distributed this winter at events facilitated by National Energy Action, to help those most in need. The Winter Warmth Support Packs are a vital lifeline for fuel poor households, and one of a number of initiatives that Zenergi is pleased to support as part of its selection of National Energy Action as charity of the year.
National Energy Action is a fuel poverty charity that works to eradicate fuel poverty and campaigns for greater investment in energy efficiency to help those who are poor or vulnerable gain affordable heat. The charity estimates that 6.7 million households across the UK are currently in fuel poverty, meaning they are unable to keep their homes warm and safe. This figure is an increase of almost 50% in a year.
We want to thank Zenergi for their amazing support of our Winter Warmth Support Packs campaign. This winter, millions more people will struggle to heat their homes; Zenergi’s help means we can reach more households in need and support some of the most vulnerable with essential items to help them stay a little bit warmer at home.
