Webinar: Heat Decarbonisation Plans and your path to Net Zero

Webinar: Heat Decarbonisation Plans and your path to Net Zero

9 September 12:00

Speaker: Chris Jermy, Head of Business Development

Ahead of a new round of the Salix Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme opening for maintained and academy schools on 13 September, join us for a lunchtime session to understand the critical role of a Heat Decarbonisation Plan in your future-proofing strategy.

The publication of the UN IPCC report on 9 August, and the United Nations Secretary General’s comment that it signalled “a code red for humanity”, coupled with the upcoming United Nations COP 26 conference on climate change in Glasgow in November, has sharpened the focus on the Net Zero debate. It is essential that schools take proactive action to mitigate climate change which is why these funding schemes have been launched, supporting the move to a decarbonised heat source and enabling schools to benefit from a range of energy efficiency measures.

Since these schemes have been highly oversubscribed and funding is quickly allocated, we’ll outline the urgent next steps required to enable schools the best chance of accessing a grant to develop a Heat Decarbonisation Plan.

This session is essential viewing for any school that can act quickly to submit an application when the portal opens, regardless of where you are you on your net zero journey.
