Our sales and marketing team got their paint brushes and tools out to volunteer at three organisations in Essex, Manningtree High School; Howard Lodge Care Home; and Ardtully Retirement Residence. Here’s how they got on…
Manningtree High School
With lots to help with, the team split into two groups around the school. Emma, Anna, and Jamie got busy giving the courtyard fences a fresh lick of white paint, making them look as good as new!
On the other half of the school, Ashley and Krishna laid down a mix of chippings and compost for the school’s new fruit and vegetable garden. The before and after pictures show what a great job the pair did.

Howard Lodge
Jenny, Chris, Darren, Mathew, Amy, and Dan got stuck into painting the skirting boards and door frames to freshen up the areas that get lots of traffic. Throughout the day the team enjoyed chatting with the lovely residents, whilst everyone enjoyed some much-needed sunshine at lunch time!

Ardtully
Painting was in high demand on Volunteering Day! Rhiannon, Michelle, Gail, Claire, Adam and Tim set to work painting the garden furniture, sheds and pergola in the sunny garden of Ardtully Retirement residence which is enjoyed by many of the residents. They also got their gardening gloves on to tackle the weeds!
Home Manager, Kim Currie commented: “It was lovely to meet you all. I would like to say a big thank you to all of you for the help you provided in our garden which has made a huge difference.”
Check out the great job they all did…

Whilst carrying out the volunteering, the team debuted our new, sustainable volunteering t-shirts. Both ink and cotton are certified, organic fair-trade products which have been approved by PETA as vegan friendly and delivered to us in recycled packaging with plastic free packing tape, distributed by a vegan company that is powered by renewable energy sources!
And as you can see…they looked great too!

Most importantly, all the teams had a fun, engaging day, filled with laughter and positive energy.
