LASBM’s first virtual conference of 2021 – Wednesday 27th January

Matt, your local energy expert, was on hand to answer your energy queries, along with our Head of Business Development, Chris, who joined the Q&A Panel discussion about how the pandemic has affected schools.

We are running a competition to win Zenergi goodies (including our popular Zen Umbrellas!).
Simply book a 1-2-1 session with Matt, to see how we might help with your energy needs.
Email bepositive@zenergi.co.uk and reference the conference to be entered into the draw.

Conferences are free to attend for LASBM members. Click here for more info

Monitoring and Improving the Performance of School Business Functions – Justine Berkeley, SBM Services Ltd
High performing business functions are essential to support schools in delivering outstanding teaching and learning and yet rarely does the the performance of the HR, Finance, Admin, IT and Facilities functions  get monitored. This workshop gives practical advice on how you can measure and improve the performance of all your support functions to include preparing service level agreements, reporting on key performance indicators and dealing with underperforming business staff.

Q & A Panel – Focus on the Impact of the Pandemic on Schools
Delegates will be invited to submit questions online for our panel of experts to consider and respond to.

The Post Pandemic Picture – Reflection, Recovery and Resilience
This session will explore the staffing issues which are likely to require attention post pandemic if they are not managed during the pandemic. We will look forward with a view to supporting staff and senior leaders and look at simple but effective ways to manage staff issues.

It’s the Same Old Song, but … is Workload the Business Manager’s Pandemic? – The Real David Cameron
We have been talking about the pressures on School Business Managers for a long time now and the recent experiences of lockdown, reopening and keeping the show on the road have increased all the pressures that we have been discussing. This session will draw on other sessions that David has been doing recently, but will develop them further and really tackle the question ‘Is this a real opportunity for change for the better?’

Was great to see you LASBM members!
