Ramping up the energy for charity!

Ramping up the energy for charity!

Congratulations to our DB Group colleagues Nicola Lang and Louise Meikleham, who both completed fitness challenges for charities in May.

Nicola walked 150 km with her dog, Bruce, for Pets as Therapy. Pets As Therapy (PAT) is a national charity that enhances the health and wellbeing of thousands of people in communities across the UK. They strive to ensure that everyone, no matter their circumstances, has access to the companionship of an animal.

Louise completed 5k a day for Cash for Kids. Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity helping the children that need it most across the UK. Their mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our communities who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs. They believe that all children should be able to express their individuality, achieve their potential and live life to the full.

Collectively they have raised a total of £390! To celebrate this achievement, Zenergi group have matched these donations to further support the charities, bringing this total to £780. Well Done Team!

This is just another way we are ‘Powering a Sustainable Future’ for our community.  With the help of Nicola, Louise and the Zenergi Group, we are one step closer to raising £1m for charity and positively impacting 1,000 lives through social value activity. And there is plenty more to come, so watch this space!
