Power Purchase Agreements

Harness renewable energy with no upfront cost.

Want to access renewable energy without locking up your capital?

With our Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) solution, you can. Our fully financed solution gives you access to low carbon technology with zero capital investment required, just a monthly fee. This means you can start reducing costs and emissions from day one, while keeping your cash available for other priorities. You gain energy freedom by generating your own energy without owning the equipment.

  • Lower energy costs

  • Reduced reliance on the grid

  • Long-term price certainty and stability

  • Protect your capital

How does it work?

A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is a long-term contract where a third party designs, installs, owns and operates an energy system on your site. You simply purchase the electricity it generates at a fixed rate, typically lower than grid prices, over 10–25 years.

We’ll build a solution to match your operational needs and sustainability goals. This means you get the right mix of technologies to maximise savings and performance for your site.

Choose from a range of technologies:

  • Combined Heat and Power (CHP)
  • Solar PV
  • Battery storage
  • EV charging infrastructure
  • Wind turbines

With our approved partners, we’re making decarbonisation easy. You get all the benefits of advanced energy technology without the burden of managing it. We’ll keep your system running efficiently and reliably, so you can focus on your priorities.

Our service includes

  • Ongoing preventative maintenance
  • Fast repairs if issues arise
  • Continuous remote monitoring

A structured approach to project success

Quality built in from design to delivery

From initial concept through to long-term performance, our end-to-end approach ensures quality, compliance, and efficiency at every stage of your project. By combining technical expertise with a structured delivery process, we help you reduce risk, maximise performance, and make confident investment decisions, all while ensuring a smooth and seamless experience from start to finish.

Feasibility

Gain a strategic overview of your opportunities. The journey begins with a pre-project kick off meeting to determine objectives and outputs. We review scope, assess site infrastructure and energy data. Using dynamic simulation, we identify optimal options and recommend system sizing. We’ll estimate generation, costs, carbon savings, payback period, and forecast lifetime emissions reductions to support confident, informed investment decisions.

Kickstart your project with a compliant, high-performance system design. We develop a fully integrated design that is compliant with safety, performance, and regulatory standards. Detailed technical drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations ensure a robust, installation-ready design package that optimises system performance. We’ll manage the tender process, delivering a tender analysis report with cost comparison and evaluation, alongside recommendation of preferred contractors.

Achieve a seamless installation with expert support at every step. We support construction to ensure your design is delivered correctly, coordinating with contractors, attending site meetings, and resolving technical issues. We conduct inspections, testing, and verification of systems. We’ll provide inspection reports and ensure that the installation meets design specifications, regulatory requirements, and expected performance standards for safe, reliable operation.

We compile all project documentation, including operation and maintenance manuals, and issue required certifications confirming compliance. We’ll conduct a final inspection to verify completion and ensure all aspects are finalised before handover. We’ll deliver a complete handover package containing manuals, certifications, and a detailed final inspection report for ongoing operation and maintenance.

Unlock peak energy efficiency. With comprehensive maintenance included to limit the risk of faults and outages, rapid repairs should a fault occur, and remote performance monitoring, you’ll gain peace of mind. Your operations will run smoothly, with no costly downtime, the lifespan of your equipment will be extended, and you’ll enjoy optimised performance.

Fund your system with ease. Our capex-free, fully financed solution means you pay a simple monthly fee of a set p/kWh. You’ll gain access to renewable energy and low carbon technology while protecting your capital.

Frequently Asked Questions

In most cases, yes. A Power Purchase Agreement is designed to deliver electricity at a lower and more predictable cost than traditional grid supply. Because pricing is fixed or structured over the long term, you are protected from market volatility and rising energy prices. The exact level of savings will depend on your site’s energy usage, technology mix, and operating profile, but many organisations see immediate cost benefits alongside long-term financial stability.

No upfront investment is required. The system is fully financed by a third party, covering design, installation, and ongoing operation. This allows you to access advanced, low carbon energy solutions without tying up capital, so you can allocate your budget to other strategic priorities while still benefiting from on-site generation.

All operation and maintenance responsibilities are handled for you. This includes routine preventative maintenance, performance monitoring, and any necessary repairs. The system is managed by experienced specialists, ensuring it operates efficiently and reliably throughout the agreement, without the need for in-house technical expertise.

Yes. Every system is tailored to your specific requirements. Factors such as your energy demand profile, site layout, operational hours, and sustainability targets are all considered. This ensures the system is optimised to maximise performance, cost savings, and carbon reduction for your organisation.

PPA contracts typically run between 10 and 25 years. This long-term structure provides price certainty and allows you to plan with confidence, knowing your energy costs are stable over time. The exact term can often be aligned with your business objectives and asset lifecycle.

Your system is continuously monitored using advanced remote technology to detect any issues early. If a fault occurs, a dedicated maintenance team will respond quickly to resolve it. This proactive approach minimises downtime and ensures consistent energy generation, so your operations are not disrupted.

At the end of the contract term, you will typically have several options. These may include extending the agreement, upgrading to newer technology, or transitioning to ownership of the system, depending on your preferences and the terms agreed. This flexibility ensures your energy strategy can evolve alongside your organisation’s needs.

Installation is carefully planned to minimise disruption to your day-to-day activities. Project teams coordinate closely with your stakeholders to schedule works efficiently and safely, ensuring business continuity throughout the process.

A PPA enables you to generate clean, renewable energy on-site, significantly reducing your carbon footprint. By lowering reliance on fossil fuels and grid electricity, you can make measurable progress towards net zero targets while also demonstrating a clear commitment to environmental responsibility.

You can incorporate a range of technologies, including solar PV, combined heat and power (CHP), battery storage, EV charging infrastructure, and wind turbines. The final solution is designed to suit your site and maximise both energy efficiency and financial return.
