February was an eventful month in energy markets, with power and gas prices starting bearish and declining through the first half of the month before stabilising mid-month. Compared with historical trends, pricing was relatively fair overall, particularly for power, with downward movements occurring earlier than the usual seasonal low typically seen in March or April.
