2015 Climate Change Levy (CCL) Rate Increases

2015 Climate Change Levy (CCL) Rate Increases

HMRC have confirmed the new CCL rates, which will be effective from April 2015. These represent around a 2.5% increase for both Gas and Electricity.

Current Electricity Rate – 0.541 p/kwh
Current Gas Rate – 0.188 p/kwh

New Electricity Rate – 0.554 p/kwh
New Gas Rate – 0.193 p/kwh

Don’t forget if your VAT status means you should pay at the reduced level, then you shouldn’t be paying CCL at all!
