Our Market Watch team monitors the market each day to identify trends and forecast potential market movements, helping clients to make informed decisions on their energy contract.
The key benefits of an energy procurement service
For businesses, energy costs can be a significant expenditure, especially during times of high market volatility. This is why it is important to secure the best value contracts which can help protect against any future volatility and unforeseen changes which can drive wholesale prices upwards.
An energy expert can conduct thorough market forecasting to recommend the most suitable contract for your needs, securing favourable rates for a set period of time, protecting you from any sharp spikes in the market.
This increased level of control allows for better budgeting over the lifetime of your contract and all supplier correspondence will be dealt with by your relationship manager – ensuring there is one less thing to worry about.
We provide our energy expertise and experience to help you select the supplier, the contract length and type of contract that supports both your energy needs and budget. You will be provided with a dedicated Relationship Manager who will be your first point of contact, dealing with all energy-related queries on your behalf, in addition to being able to access information about your account on an
online portal. Our compliant framework offers a choice of up to 15 different approved suppliers to offer greater access to competitive prices while still adhering to European legislation.
What is the energy procurement process?
At Zenergi, our energy procurement process is structured and transparent, keeping the client informed about each stage of the process and providing recommendations on the best available options.
Stage One – Market and business analysis
Stage Two – Prices requested from the suppliers/ tendering process and presented on a like-for-like basis for easy comparison
Stage Three – Recommendations provided for the most suitable contract options
Stage Four – Contract Sign-off by client
Stage Five – On-going support and additional services
Fixed or Flexible Energy Contracts
A fixed energy contract helps to mitigate sudden spikes on the energy market by securing a fixed rate which helps businesses manage their budgets more effectively and provides improved forecasting.
Securing a fixed tariff ensures the price that you will pay for the duration of the contract will not change, with fixed contracts usually signed for a term of between one and three years.
In contrast, a flexible energy contract gives businesses the opportunity to take advantage of wholesale price movements, enabling Zenergi’s procurement team to purchase gas and electricity when the market becomes more favourable.
This form of energy purchasing can be a much more complicated process, but using through analysis and forecasting, our consultants are able to identify the optimal time to purchase energy, offering advice and support throughout the lifetime of the contract.
The Benefits of joining a Buying Group
Group buying is when a collective of organisations group together to purchase their energy. Organisations that combine their purchasing power with others in this way usually achieve lower prices, because suppliers are competing for the overall business of the group’s collective energy consumption.
Our Buying Group is designed to help participants achieve the best available energy tariff while benefiting from fully fixed and inclusive prices for a two-year contract.
Additional, value-added services
Utility invoices can amount to a sizeable portion of the budget for any organisation. On average, 15-20% of annual utility costs are being invoiced incorrectly, which is why Zenergi’s bill validation service has made a huge difference to the budgets of many of our customers… Employing our years of experience and expertise in the energy markets, we’ll meticulously check your energy invoices against your agreed contract to ensure that readings reflect your actual consumption, that your rates are correct and that any errors are quickly identified and resolved so that you’re never overcharged or are unnecessarily paying for services you don’t need.
